Tennessee Department of Agriculture - PCMG at 2017 Putnam County Fair

Agricultural fairs are a tradition in Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture was formed in 1854 to promote agriculture through fairs and expositions. Nearly three million people visit Tennessee Agricultural fairs each year. TDA proudly continues to support fairs, large and small, held across the state.
2016 by the Numbers
* 2,550,000 people visited 61 fairs in Tennessee
* More than 17,000 volunteers
* More than 120,000 agricultural exhibits
* More than 28,000 agricultural exhibitors
* More than $12 million generated in gross receipts
* Putnam County Fair 2016 Attendance: 51,716
