Fun Committee - Garden Tours July 12,13 and 14th |
The Fun
Committee would like to invite all Putnam County Master Gardeners and Interns
to a tour of three of the Master Gardeners' gardens. The tours will be
over three days so that if your schedule doesn't work one day, you may be
able to come to the other two. |
Tour
1 on Wednesday morning, July 12, 9:30am until we get too
hot!
|
Mickie Loyd's: 1101 Oak Hill Drive, Cookeville, 931 432 0288 or 931 349 0139. |
Most of you have been to my place and know I have lots of everything. We can have a dig party, and you can take something home with you to plant. I think the wattle fence might be new to some of you so check it out. If I can build one (husband help), you can too. |
Tour 2 on Thursday evening, July 13, 6:00pm to
7:30pm
|
Linda Anderson's: 2101 Amber Meadow Rd, Cookeville, 931 432
5037.
To get to Linda's house, on Amber Meadow Rd, you will see a mailbox on the left and a dirt road going through a field, into the woods. The house cannot be seen from the road. |
Linda has been a "collector" for years
and her yard has many wonderful treasures, as well as a log
cabin in back of her log cabin house. Her place is a real treasure, and
you won't want to miss it. You might even catch a glimpse of Buttons!
|
Tour 3 on Friday evening, July 14, 6:00pm to 7:30pm
|
Carol Ludgate's: 2410 N Pointe Cove Circle, Cookeville, 931 520 6355.
|
Most of you know Carol is a wonderful artist who
views her garden with creative eyes. Whimsy is everywhere. You will come
away with lots of ideas for your own gardens.
|
Please make an effort to do these tours. Besides seeing what
others do with their gardens. it is a time to visit with each other, beyond
the time limits of our monthly meetings.
|
See you Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
