Created as a peaceful respite for patients as they receive chemotherapy.

These beds and planters welcome visitors to the Train Depot Museum in downtown Cookeville.
Cookeville Farmers Market
Converted into a low maintenance garden in 2009 this garden is lush with beautiful flowers that thrive in drier conditions with less maintenance
Projects and Education in the Community
Ag In The Classroom
This annual event in March pairs Master Gardeners with 1st grade students who learn how to plant a seed properly. The children delight in this activity and as an added bonus they get to take their seedling home. Average attendance is 1,200 students.
Upper Cumberland Home & Garden Show
Master Gardens host seminars on various gardening subjects. We also have a booth full of gardening information and information on our upcoming classes. Annual event in March.
Girl Scout Service Day
Every April the Girl Scouts descend upon Burgess Falls State Park. With the help of Master Gardeners they plant native shrubs, prepare the Butterfly Garden for the growing season, and mulch. It’s amazing how much these girls accomplish in one day!
Putnam County Fair
Be sure to stop by our building at the Fairgrounds filled with educational and beautiful displays. Lots of gardening information is available and you are sure to find some great ideas that will work in your own back yard. First weekend in August.
